a craft for your monday!

Today we have April, I also was connected with April through a coffee mug swap and she was so thoughtful and sent me a travel mug, knowing how much I would be on the go with the little one.  Check out the mug here: Mug Swap Reveal

Be sure to check out her blog!

Hi there Slogan readers! I am April from illistyle. I am so excited that Stephanie asked me to stop by today and share with you today as she is busy taking care of much more important things.
Congratulations, Steph and Logan, on your new little bundle of joy!
Stephanie asked specifically that I share a craft, and with cold and flu season already here (where is 2012 going?!) I thought that I would share this little gift you can make to help everyone "Stay Healthy."

So here's the run down on what you will need:

Box (I got this one in the dollar spot at Target) 1 piece of tissue paper Apple Cider packet Kleenex Pocket Pack Fisherman's Friend Cough Drops Blistex Cold and Allergy Lip Balm (who knew there was lip balm just for colds? Blistex knew, apparently...) Airborne (Vitamin C drink)

Here's how I put it all together:
First, you need to make your paper pretty for the bottom to give your items a boost so they are not just pell-mell in the box. (10 bonus points because I just successfully used the phrase "pell-mell" in a sentence. I love English.)

Now, place that pretty pouf of tissue in the bottom of the box and then you want to place your items on top of it. Start with your tallest item in back and work toward the front. Place the items thusly: (That's +10 again, I am on a roll.)

If you wanna get all fancy-shmancy you can do it up like so:

This classy touch was super easy and inexpensive to do, here's what you need:

Transparent Plastic Wrapping Paper - $2 @ Michael's Ribbon - $1.50 @ Michaels

This would be a great gift for a teacher or co-worker too.
If you need a bunch you can assemble them and have them all wrapped in less then 1/2 hr. Watch a show and have all your office mates gift's completed by the end. Win-win.
