Music City

We made a quick trip out to Nashville last weekend for a beautiful wedding.  We had so much fun visiting with people we have not seen in forever and the beautiful couple tie the knot.  Congrats to Chantel and Erich Budde! It was a beautiful wedding and we were so glad to be there to share the day with you guys :)

Logan and I took a trip over to Nashville last year after we got married while we were still living in Tennessee.  So the joke is whenever we have a life changing event, we go to Nashville...

1. Get married- go to Nashville
2. Having a baby- go to Nashville.

So I'll be honest, I am not a fan of country music, sorry I'm just not.  I can not name a song by Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Brad Paisley and half of these names I didn't even know until I lived in Tennessee!  Obviously Nashville is much more than just country music and it's fun to be around all of it and go to bars and hear all the bands whether it's country music or not, but when you go to Nashville and work your way down Broadway, you must look at cowboy boots, when in Rome right!  Logan has always wanted a pair of boots, I always see them on girls and they look adorable on them, my yankee ass never thought I could pull them off.  We looked last year while we were there but never pulled the trigger and bought any.  Everyone recommended Boot Country (it's right on Broadway, mixed in with restaurants, shops, and bars), since it's highly recommended we decided to check it out, along with every other boot place in walking distance.  Boot country has a fantastic deal, Buy 1 Get 2 free.  Granted the boots are not exactly cheap but if you divide it by 3, it is not too shabby.  The hubs found two pairs he liked, so I decided to find a pair I liked...the red ones called my name.

Introducing our new collection of cowboy/girl boots!

We also went back to a restaurant that we really liked that is also on Broadway, pretty close to Boot Country.  It's called Merchants.  I love tater tots, I can't resist Sonic's tater tots, I actually gave them up during lent last year (totally ridiculous I know) and for the rest of this pregnancy, since I could possibly eat them every single day.  Did I mention I live right around a corner from a sonic, major self control!  However, I made an exception last weekend, they have duck fat tater tots, yes fried in duck fat and they are delicious and the most crispy tater tots you will ever come in contact with.  Sorry Sonic...Merchant's has you beat!

So if you ever find yourself is good ole music city, check out Merchant's and Boot Country :)

Hi! New follower. I love the boots. I've never been to Nashville but my friend who lives there claims it is the best city in the world.

Love cowboy boots! True, I already have my pair but I'd buy another in a heartbeat if the husband would let me. Unfortunately they are an expensive type of shoe to love! :P

there are expensive! buy 1 free 2 free is a steal though, if you are in the market for new ones anyway. Another couple did the same thing, he got two and she got a pair. I kinda can't wait to buy an outfit for them :)

I WANT THE COWBOY BOOTS! And I will forgive you for not liking country music. I keep trying to get Ryan to go to Nashville - he refuses. He thinks its all country. I keep trying to tell him otherwise. Maybe someday.... :)

Hi Hi - newest follower here from www.ahusbandandadog.com
Will have to consult you the next time husby and I take a trip to Nashville. We love it there and don't always do "tourist" things while on vacation.

Hi there! Welcome :) Yes we try to do different things instead of the normal touristy stuff...many people might think we are crazy but we did not go to the opry.

there is a lot of country but honestly a lot of the bands in all the bars are not playing 100% of time playing country. It's a cool city.
